Successful repair of industrial floors begins with correct diagnosis of the failure (cracks, spalling, craters, coating delamination) and adequate substrate preparation (mechanical cleaning, shotblasting/grinding, degreasing, removal of loose material, open porosity). This is followed by targeted restoration of the geometry and, where required, application of a protection/coating system compatible with the service conditions (loading, chemicals, moisture, thermal shock).
Scratch coats & repair resin mortars
For levelling, filling or smoothing of floors, as well as for local thinlayer repairs, resinbased scratch coats / repair mortars are applied, produced by mixing quartz sand with solventfree binders, such as the epoxy materials Epoxol® Primer SFP and Neopox® Primer WS for highadhesion, highdurability repairs, or the aliphatic polyurea resin Neodur® Polyurea M when speed and short overcoating time are required.
Local repairs – Puttying
For local repairs and fixes, crack and gap sealing, edge restoration, filling of defects, as well as surface finishing — specialized highperformance putty systems are used.
The epoxy putty Epoxol® Putty is the appropriate choice for demanding industrial floor repair applications where high mechanical and chemical resistance is required. For a smooth, uniform finish prior to protective coating-painting systems, the finegrained epoxy putty Epoxol® Pro offers excellent workability, as well as the ability to adhere even to damp concrete.
For small holes, pores and fine gaps, the fluid epoxy system Epoxol® Liquid ensures complete sealing. When fast application and immediate overcoating are required, the fastdrying aliphatic polyurea putty Neodur® FT Putty is used, ideal for rapid recommissioning and heavyduty use
